FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR LIFE

ONLINE THERAPY FOR IDAHO, ARIZONA, TEXAS AND FLORIDA

An intelligent approach for intelligent people.

IS THIS YOU?

I help clients who struggle with overwhelm, emotional spiraling and suicidal thoughts. For this reason, my clients are either highly avoidant of their internal experience, or highly dependent on their relationships to help them feel better. When left unaddressed, emotions can create problems in personality development and getting along with others. Have you noticed that it has become deeply important to you to feel heard and understood in your relationship, are you craving relief from internal chaos, or dismayed at the way you keep doing the same things over and over? Do you despair that you may not actually ever arrive at the life of meaning and fulfilment you have always hoped for? If you think this describes you, please read about the work that I do.

SPECIALIZING IN:

01

Borderline Personality Disorder, Trauma & Dissociation

A personality disorder is a complex adaptation over time that cannot be treated the same way as other psychiatric diagnoses. Conventional, well-intentioned therapy is likely to reinforce the most problematic aspects of struggling personalities. Treatment therefore has to avoid certain pitfalls and target the neurological structures that are absent. Since early life trauma can profoundly affect personality development, a specialist will be able to accurately address the overlap between Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Trauma can sometimes present with dissociation, a difficult phenomenon to identify in clinical practice. Treating trauma without targeting dissociation is contraindicated and can place you at risk of destabilization. I specialize in the treatment of dissociative disorders, including Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).

02

Coherence Therapy & DBT & Ego State Therapy

All psychotherapy seeks to bring about lasting change. The best evidence for true, transformational change that does not resurface, is the science of memory reconsolidation. That is why I work primarily with Coherence Therapy. On the other hand, I also work with DBT, a behavioral approach that can help a great deal in establishing healthy habits and improve relationships. Finally, I enjoy depth psychology work and use Ego State Therapy to help you explore unconscious material. This is also a gentle and responsible way for working with trauma and dissociation.

03

High-Functioning Adults

A high-functioning adult is someone who can perform activities of daily living reliably and independently. My clients are typically educated and employed, articulate and resourceful. They are often as informed about inner work as their therapists, and have successfully achieved insight. Unfortunately, conventional talk therapy may be too person-centered (non-directive) and counteractive (with tools and strategies) to avoid reinforcing the very problem it seeks to address.

Working together is simple.

the process:

There are three parts to getting started:

  1. Reach Out

Send me a text or an email. You are also welcome to make inquiries on behalf of someone else. I promptly respond to emails and answer all your questions.

  2. Intake

I send you a legal consent form to sign before we can start. Look out for an email from Simple Practice, the platform that hosts all your records and our telehealth sessions. Simply e-sign the consent form in Simple Practice and you are ready to schedule!

  3. Scheduling

We schedule together at a time that works for both of us. All our sessions are virtual. We meet on the Simple Practice platform (it works just like Zoom). You will get a video link and reminder 24 hours before our session. You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before we meet.
